What makes a good Pilates or Yoga Teacher

I get it, you may be seeing this industry growing.

Which is great from our point of view to see so many people following their dreams to do what lights them up and gives them a sense of satisfaction!

But here’s the thing.

🤜 Not all teacher training is created equal.

In fact did you know that the Level 3 Pilates and Yoga Practitioner courses are designed for teaching “fit and abled” bodies.   So basically you’re trained on how to teach people with no issues.

HOWEVER….

As we run our own studio and we do “this” for a living, we know that it is highly unlikely that you’ll ever teach a class where everyone is in 100% health.  Someone in the class is going to have a sore shoulder, or sciatica or they’ve had a hip replacement.

We don’t want you to be the kind of teacher that expects everyone to do the same thing as each other, regardless of whether or not that exercise is actually appropriate for someone’s condition.

Being a good teacher and having clients come back to you again and again and again, is about knowing your clients and how you look after each person within the class environment.😍

👉 Many of the medical conditions that we teach you are the conditions that we come across in our studio on a regular basis such as:

✔️  sciatica,

✔️  Fused spine

✔️  Scoliosis

✔️  fibromyalgia,

✔️  Osteoporosis,

✔️  arthritis,

✔️  bulging discs,

✔️ knee/hip replacements

✔️ neck/shoulder issues

and the list can carry on……

It’s for this reason that we also include this additional training on medical conditions on our courses and Paul shares his knowledge and experience in doing rehab with people for over 20 years.

💜  By the time you’re qualified with us you will know about those conditions and how to deal with them and if there’s any conditions that pop up during your classes that you’ve not heard of you can always ask in our private FB group for advice or guidance 🙂 💜

If you can help each individual in your class get the most out of their exercise, by modifying and adjusting it or even give them something else to do then they will keep coming back to your classes and that’s how you’ll grow your business and your income.

And that’s how you will stand out from the crowd and fill your classes!

If you’re ready to be one of those teachers that stands out from the crowd then just get in touch to get a prospectus that goes through the courses in more detail 🙂

Lots of love
