During our Level 3 Pilates & Yoga Practitioner courses we take you through a variety of teaching skills training where you are purposely not allowed to demonstrate exercises so that you actually learn how to teach through verbal instruction.

What happens if you break a leg or have a cold and you canโt demonstrate. โ ๐ ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ง’๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ. โ They teach by watching and facilitating.

Not being able to do some of the exercises or not being able to touch your toes often crops up when I speak to people about doing their Pilates or Yoga Teacher Training and what I always say is this:

Thanks to medical science, people are living longer.

Just because people age it doesnโt mean they want to stop moving, but they also donโt want to harm their bodies and they know they canโt do the things they used to do.
โ
Thereโs not much in the way of pilates or yoga classes for over 70โs (as an example). โ There isnโt much offered in homes for patients to do some movement and stay as strong as they possibly can. โ

The secret is this:

So it really doesnโt matter whether or not you can touch your toes, stand on your head or if youโre 70 years old. โ โ

๐ We like our teachers to be like us.
๐ We like our teachers with all their flaws (especially if we have the same flaws!).
๐ We like our teachers to understand what weโre going through.

THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE JUST LIKE YOU, who would LOVE to come to your class, because they know YOU GET THEM. โ You UNDERSTAND how they feel and if โyou can do itโ that also means โthey can do itโ.
On our Level 3 Pilates & Yoga Practitioner Courses, we teach you how to create classes that will help the youngest and the oldest to get the most out of their class! โ (in my picture – the youngest person was a 35 year old lady and the oldest was a 75 year old man!)
