The iconic Pilates Reformer & Tower machine is the most well-known and recognizable piece of Pilates equipment. It is a very versatile and universal exercise machine that allows for a wide range of exercises.

The YMCA Level 3 Reformer certifications are now on offer at our studio, as well as the YMCA Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification.

The YMCA Level 3 Reformer courses are run over 4 weekends and will also include a few online sessions, making it more accessible and less costly for transport and accomodation!

Whether you’re interested in group-only training, want to teach one-to-one’s or are ready to dive into group and private clients, we have a course to suit your goals!

We only take 8 on every course, so you have ample playing time on the reformer! (Yay!)

The YMCA Level 3 Reformer certifications will cover basic and intermediate exercises, giving you plenty of variety for your classes.

Do you need any previous qualifications?

Yes, you will need to be a qualified level 3 Pilates Teacher, as the reformer course builds on your pilates knowledge.

Obtaining your certificate through YMCA will certainly give you credibility within the pilates and fitness industry.

Reformer Pilates Training Course Aims

Students will develop a comprehensive understanding and awareness of the Pilates Reformer machine, as well as beginner and intermediate exercises from Joseph Pilates repertoire.

You will be able to apply this knowledge and build on your existing skill and experience of both your own and your students’ mat experience.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

Instruct basic to intermediate Pilates movements on the Reformer machine.
Identify movements that may need to be modified for a particular goal
Be able to progress, modify, and adapt exercises to suit your client’s body and ability.
Understand the anatomy within each exercise to create a lesson plan to meet your clients’ goals
Understand the reformer machine and the different options available on the market, and be comfortable AND confident with using it and instructing others to use it.
Create lesson plans for group classes and teach a group class
Create an individualised lesson plan for a private client and teach a one-to-one session

The YMCA course is 340 hours, and it includes face-to-face time with us at the studio, as well as online elements including self-study and Zoom sessions. We will NOT be teaching any exercises on Zoom, these will be at the studio. These online sessions will cover the theory elements and one-to-one time with me.

Reformer Course Fee

The course is £1697 per person, and you can secure your space with a £397 non-refundable deposit or a payment in full, which also includes the non-refundable deposit.
