Have you ever read the book “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill?

Well, if you haven’t, it’s probably one of the most popular money mindset books in the self-development industry.

He teaches you that what you think about most of the time will become your reality.

And whether your goal is to lose weight, buy a fancy car, live in a big house, or own every studio in the world there are things that you might be doing that are stopping you from achieving them.


Today we’re going to be talking about one of them.


This takes a lot of self-awareness of the conversations going on inside of your head AND the words coming out of your mouth.


Let’s see if you can spot it.

Here’s an example:

. “I’m fat”
. “I don’t have money”
. “I hate my house”

These are just examples, but maybe you can see what I’m talking about?


If not….

. Let me reveal the big secret.

THE MORE YOU FOCUS ON THE NEGATIVE THE MORE NEGATIVE YOU’LL GET.


If you’re constantly focusing on :

“I don’t have money”, “this is expensive”, “I can’t afford that”, “I never have enough” etc

You will attract more of that into your life.


And there are different ways you can do that.


You can manifest it or another way is

You can only SEE where you don’t have money and this is the one I want to teach you about.


Close your eyes.

When last did you see a yellow car?

Can you remember?



Probably not (unless you own one!).


However,

Over the next week, I want you to count how many yellow cars you can see.


What will happen is your brain will now go on the search for yellows, EVEN if I say go and look for all the colours EXCEPT yellow…


Your brain is still going to notice every yellow car on the road.


You’ve just programmed your brain to look for yellow cars, even when I’ve told you NOT to look for the yellow ones…


It’s the same with your goals….

If you think you don’t have money your brain is going to go and find all the evidence of you not having any money and this is what we need to change!



The first step to changing this thought pattern is that we get to be THANKFUL for everything that we DO have in our lives.


Gratitude. ​ Every single day I write in my gratitude journal. ​ ​

For example, keeping with the money story: ​
. I am so thankful and grateful for all the money I have in my account. ​ There is always enough to support me.

I am so thankful and grateful for all my amazing clients who continue to love and value what I do.

I am so thankful and grateful for my home and the food I have every day.


Not only do you want to write it down with a pen (not typing) MUST BE A PEN and PAPER, you also genuinely want to FEEL gratitude in your heart. ​ ​ Writing is more impactful on the brain.


Coming from South Africa I have seen what POOR is. ​ People with no food, no clothes, no home and there isn’t help for them. ​ They literally have NOTHING.

I am RICH compared to them, and that’s what you have to focus on. ​ ​


I am so grateful that I have heating. ​ (has your heating or hot water ever broken down in the middle of winter?? Sure does make you appreciate it!!).


I am so grateful I have food every single day to eat.


I am so grateful that I have warm clothes to shelter my body when I go outside!

We do have so much to be grateful for, even when times are challenging.




THE MORE YOU FOCUS ON WHAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR, THE MORE OF THAT YOU WILL HAVE!!!

Focus on the money you do have. ​ Even if it’s £5 in your account. ​ Remember that a homeless person would kill for the £5.


This really is one of the biggest steps you can take to attract more things into your life.

Think of it this way.

The Universe sees us as children.

Ever given a gift to an ungrateful child???


Did you want to take it back??



What about the child that was so grateful?


Did you want to give them more???



YES, because they valued and appreciated the gift you gave them in the first place so you know that they are going to be even more grateful for whatever else you give them.


OUR LIVES ARE THE SAME!!!


Go buy yourself a nice journal do this at least once a day. ​ It only needs to take a few minutes.


I do this every morning and every evening. ​ ​ I write down 5 things. ​


It doesn’t need to be an essay.


The important part is that you’re taking the time to sit and connect with the Universe and say thank you.
