Classical Reformer Course 2026
Classical Reformer Course and Workshop – focus on the original, ordered repertoire developed by Joseph Pilates, emphasizing flow, precision, and the why pf each exercise. Aimed at existing Certified Reformer teachers looking to deepen their expertise and knowledge
Advanced Classical Reformer Repertoire Workshop
This is a RARE opportunity for Pilates teachers to spend some time with the advanced classical reformer repertoire — a body of work that most of us rarely get to explore in its entirety.
About your Classical Reformer teacher
Sebastian has been quietly devoted to Pilates for over twenty-five years, deepening his practice through formal training in the BASI and Polestar methods and earning a Pilates ITC Diploma — a two-year qualification — after leaving a successful corporate career to commit fully to the work he loved.
His study has been further enriched by the teachings of Deborah Lessen, a second-generation teacher trained directly by Carola Trier, one of Joseph Pilates’ own students — a lineage that brings real depth and integrity to his understanding of the classical method. (WE ARE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE THIS TYPE OF TRAINING AVAILABLE TO US!)
From his own studio in Melbourne, Sebastian spent years working one-to-one with professional dancers, elite athletes and their support teams, as well as people living with MS and Parkinson’s disease — always learning as much as teaching.
Now back in the UK, he brings that experience with him and is genuinely delighted to share it.
In his teaching, Sebastian weaves classical and traditional principles together with contemporary movement understanding — honouring the integrity of the original method while embracing what modern movement science has to offer.
